Leila was kind enough to send us a report back on how they went… “Well I’m back from a long weekend spent at the Daly River NT undertaking the Girls Gone Fishin’ tournament and what can I say… it was harrdddd work!” Girls Gone Fishin is a women’s fishing competition held annually in the Northern Territory at the Daly River. Each team consists of 3 female anglers and 1 male skipper. Leila says that they had to overcome trying conditions with fish at a premium! “I eventually managed to land a 75cm and another 40-something with half an hour to go before lines out! This got us a total of 145 points for the tournament which landed us in 8th place overall as a team and I finished 5th individual angler score overall out of 158 anglers.” “To finish in the top 10 teams in any fishing tournament is a great achievement and the goal that any team going into a tournament hopes to achieve.
