November 15, 2022
Barpa is thrilled to announce we have won the Indigenous Business of the Year award at the 2022 New South Wales Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (NSWICC) Infrastructure and Construction Awards held at the Hunter Valley on the 8th November.
We’re extremely proud to have taken out this award, which is due recognition for all of our hard-working staff who not only make Barpa a success but live and breathe our mission to empower Indigenous People and businesses through building Australian infrastructure.
As the State’s Peak Indigenous Business Body, the NSWICC seeks to grow the capacity and numbers of Aboriginal Businesses supplying NSW and beyond and to better equip Government and Contractor Procurement and Engagement Processes. The NSWICC Infrastructure and Construction Awards showcase and celebrate Leadership and Outstanding Achievements by Businesses, Government Departments, Agencies, and Individuals.
The Indigenous Business of the Year category Barpa won recognises the exceptional achievement, leadership and contribution of an Indigenous business supplying and/or operating within the NSW infrastructure and construction sector.
The awards night was the final event of the two day NSWICC Infrastructure and Construction Forum which included an Indigenous Business trade show and forum.
