Barpa Delivers new Perth home for the Australian Childhood Foundation

Last week marked a special milestone with the official opening of the new Australian Childhood Foundation Perth office — a space dedicated to supporting children, young people, foster carers, families and communities across Western Australia.

The opening brought together ACF staff, partners and supporters and began with a heartfelt Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony led by Aunty Glenda Kickett and her son, recognising the importance of culture, connection and healing.

Barpa is proud to have delivered the refurbishment of the new Burswood premises, transforming a former office into a welcoming, purpose-built environment that supports the Foundation’s vital work helping children and families recover from trauma, abuse and family and domestic violence.

Barpa supported the project from the outset, assisting with early cost planning to help secure funding before delivering the refurbishment in collaboration with our WA and VIC teams and a supportive network of subcontractors and suppliers.

The upgraded facility now provides a brighter, more functional environment, including meeting rooms, family consulting suites, open-plan workspaces and improved staff amenities, with better parking and public transport access for visiting families.

A beautiful mural by proud Wangkatha-Yamatji artist Kayley Emery welcomes visitors into the space, highlighting the powerful connection between culture and healing.

Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this important project to life, including Western Australian MPs Jessica Stojkovski, Hannah Beazley, and the many partners who supported the project.

We’re honoured to have played a role in creating a space that will support children and families for years to come.
