Barpa successfully delivered the revitalisation of the Faithfull Street Campus at Benalla P–12 College, marking our fourth completed school project for the Victorian Schools Building Authority (VSBA).
The project involved the construction of a new Administration and Food Technology building, refurbishment of the Year 9 BER Building, replacement of ageing portable classrooms with two new 5MOD portables, and extensive paving and landscaping works across the campus.
Critical works included asbestos removal, staged demolition, and multiple relocations of school facilities, all delivered while the school remained fully operational.
Indigenous engagement was embedded across Barpa’s project delivery model, extending beyond contractual targets to create meaningful social, cultural, and economic outcomes.
Barpa exceeded the Victorian Schools Building Authority’s Indigenous participation target, achieving 4.2%.
This outcome was achieved through the early identification and engagement of Indigenous enterprises across multiple trade packages, including flooring, joinery, signage, and creative services.
Beyond procurement, Barpa embedded cultural engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Partnerships with Yorta Yorta Traditional Owners enabled meaningful participation in project milestones
