Barpa partnered with the Queensland Department of Education (DoE) and ASPECT Project Management to deliver modern education infrastructure upgrades at Clifton State High School and Millmerran State School, supporting safer, more inclusive learning environments for regional communities.
These projects form part of Barpa’s growing education portfolio in Queensland, with the team having successfully delivered five DoE projects across the state over the past two years. Across the Clifton and Millmerran works, Barpa achieved a 6% Indigenous participation spend, reinforcing our commitment to creating meaningful economic opportunities through our projects.
At Clifton State High School, the works included demolition of existing facilities to make way for a new, fully accessible amenities block incorporating a Changing Places facility to support people with disability. The scope also included a new covered walkway and improved pedestrian connections, enhancing accessibility and movement across the campus.
At Millmerran State School, Barpa delivered a new, state-of-the-art amenities block designed to cater for both students and staff. Additional works included new walkways and footpaths, along with the relocation of the on-site dental van to ensure continuity of essential health services during construction.
Despite challenging wet weather conditions and the logistical complexities of working in regional locations, both projects were completed ahead of schedule, demonstrating Barpa’s capability as a trusted partner in delivering high-quality education infrastructure across Australia.
