Barpa completed the new Community Health and Learning Hub for Bendigo TAFE at Dhelkaya Health in Castlemaine, on Djaara Country.
This project transformed an existing hospital wing into a cutting-edge training facility featuring simulated hospital, aged care, and home care environments. The hub will serve as a shared space for Bendigo TAFE’s training delivery and Dhelkaya Health’s staff development programs — supporting graduate nurses, external students, and the Monash University GP program.
A standout achievement for this project was 22.9% downstream Indigenous spend, delivered through collaboration with a range of First Nations subcontractors and suppliers.
This result was made possible by Bendigo TAFE’s strong commitment to reconciliation and genuine support for Indigenous-led alternatives.
