Barpa successfully completed the EST2273 Facilities to Support SEA2273 FIE Modernisation project for the Department of Defence.
Leveraging Barpa’s national expertise, our teams delivered the project across three states and one territory. The works included upgrading, replacing, and expanding shore-based Defence facilities and infrastructure to support the Royal Australian Navy. Scope at the project locations consisted of renovations and fitouts, service infrastructure and service and security upgrades.
A key highlight of the project was the construction of a new facility at HMAS Stirling, involving the construction of a new 2 level secure facility consisting of working accommodation, comms rooms and infrastructure, meeting spaces and common areas.
In recognition of the great work by our construction team, the HMAS Stirling facility received the high commendation award in the Commercial Construction: $25M to $60M category from the WA Australian Institute of Building’s 2025 Professional Excellence Awards!
