As part of the NSW Government’s Rural Ambulance Reconfiguration (RAIR) Stages 1 and 2 programs, Barpa was engaged to construct the purpose-built Medowie Ambulance station, which features internal parking for up to six emergency ambulance vehicles, relief accommodation for paramedics, administration and office areas, logistics and storage areas, an internal wash bay and staff parking.
The project also involved constructing a fully enclosed structure with environmental control under the existing building roof within the warehouse area, adjacent to the current facility.
The new station provides local paramedics with a high-quality base and the latest facilities and equipment to meet the current and future emergency care needs of the growing Medowie community.
